King's Farmstead and Market
My family and I are so blessed to be a part of Adams County's new, young Amish community. When we moved to Gettysburg from Lancaster to start our farm in 2022, we were only the 14th family in the area - now, there are 75!
Through the Farmstead and Market, we’ve developed partnerships with this close knit group of small, sustainable, family farms. Like us, our fellow local farmers practice farming with nature - without harmful pesticides, chemicals or artificial growth hormones. We all treat our cattle, chickens, and pigs with respect and let them live their lives the way God intended. We keep them outdoors as much as possible and create a low stress, all natural and healthy environment for them to live in.
Our Community of Farmers
When you wander our store, you’ll see that many of our products carry different family names - Mountain View Farms dairy, Glicks Homestyle Canning, Brubaker Apiaries, Lykens Valley Creamery - no one member of our local community tries to do it all. Instead, we’re working together to weave a network of high quality, traditional, nutrient dense, raw and organic foods. My family and I feel very fortunate to be able to offer these well-raised and traditional items to customers through our market. Which brings us to one of the most important aspects of our Farmstead and Market - YOU!
Did you know Pennsylvania is the 2nd largest producer of Organic Produce in the Country? Yep…and much of that growing is done by my fellow Amish farmers - who believe in food that is clean, pure and safe to eat. The way God intended it to be.
But all that good growing is really made possible by good folks like you - who seek out and buy intentionally-grown, nutrient-dense, and delicious good food for yourselves and your families. Your commitment to the shared well-being of the planet, yourself, and your community means that farmers like me, and those of the Gettysburg Amish Community, have a way to sustain ourselves and our conscious approach to farming in a manner that brings blessings to us all.
Buying the farm goodness that we bring you through our Farmstead and Market means we’re all working together to nurture a circle of growing and eating that nourishes all of us and our environment.
So on behalf of my family and those of our fellow community farmers, thank you for being our Customer! It is our honor and privilege to feed you.
